A little bit about David
Award winning outdoor blogger David Mellor first joined his mother’s rambling group as a very young child. Now he’s passionate about raising his own outdoor family and uses his blog, Potty Adventures, and the organised events that he regularly hosts to encourage as many people as he can to get outside.
David is most often found hiking, scrambling and skiing in the mountains, paddling on lakes, and wild camping with his wife and two toddlers. He is a huge advocate of doorstop adventures, leave no trace and breaking down barriers to the great outdoors. As a teacher, he weaves his love for the outdoors into his professional life by also encouraging young people to explore the outdoors, from yearly ski trips and Duke of Edinburgh Awards, to leading a group of 32 teenagers on a month long expedition to Tanzania, including climbing Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro.
