Celebrations at Duvalay

Duvalay will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of their iconic luxury sleeping bag with exclusive discounts at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show 2020. Husband-and-wife team Alan and Liz Colleran first unveiled their innovative, patented design in February 2005.

Consisting of a single luxury polycotton cover with a duvet in the top pocket and a memory foam topper in the bottom pocket, the zipless design immediately disrupted the market.

Six years later, the couple embarked upon a nerve-wracking journey into the BBC’s Dragons’ Den, where they demonstrated their one-of-a-kind sleeping bag to a TV audience of millions.

Having secured investment from Pall-Ex founder Hilary Devey CBE, the family-run business has since developed a wide range of comfort-enhancing, award-winning products for the leisure and home industries.

“Before Dragons’ Den catapulted us to overnight fame, the Duvalay Sleeping Bag was the camping and caravanning community’s best-kept secret,” recalls Sales & Marketing Director Liz Colleran.

“So many families like ours loved caravanning but struggled with poor-quality sleep on hard fold-down seats. They found all the comfort and support they needed in the Duvalay, which soon became a cult favourite.

‘So many of the people we first met in those very early days remain loyal to our affordable luxury brand; therefore, it feels only right that we celebrate our landmark anniversary at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show 2020 with the people who know and love our hero product best.”

The first 15 people to purchase either a Compact, Comfort or FreshTec Sleeping Bag each day at the show will receive an exclusive 15% celebratory discount, as well as a free storage bag and free delivery.

To claim this offer, show visitors should head to stand 2304 at the NEC Birmingham between Tuesday, 18 February and Sunday, 23 February.

The discount will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

“In the interests of fair competition – and out of respect and consideration for our network of valued retail partners – we never include the Duvalay Sleeping Bag in any of our sales or promotions,” says Liz, who will be at the show throughout the week.

“This is a one-off and rare opportunity to get it for less as a special anniversary ‘thank you’ to our customers. If any visitor wants to claim this very limited offer, I would urge them to get to our stand bright and early to secure this never-to-be-repeated deal.”

Since it was first launched on the market, the Duvalay Sleeping Bag range has expanded to include a cooling FreshTec foam option and a Dinky Duvalay for children aged two to eight. It continues to be handmade in the UK at Duvalay’s headquarters in Yorkshire.
